Obstacle Detector IR Proximity Sensor for Optical Obstacle Detection with Digital Output for Arduino, Raspberry Pi

Obstacle Detector IR Proximity Sensor for Optical Obstacle Detection with Digital Output for Arduino, Raspberry Pi

Product Features

  • Digital output the sensor board has a digital output that triggers when the set threshold value falls below the set. The signal (HIGH, LOW) can be easily read via a GPIO of an Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
  • Adjustable threshold value thanks to the on-board potentiometer, the threshold value for triggering the digital output can be infinitely adjusted. The obstacle detection can be adjusted to a range of 0 cm to a maximum of 25 cm.
  • Quick start-up the distance sensor can be used quickly and solderless. Thanks to the already soldered pin headers, the board is also suitable for breadboard/breadboard. Only VCC, GND and the output signal OUT need to be connected.
  • 3.3 V and 5 V suitable: the obstacle sensor has been designed for operation at 3 - 5 V and is therefore suitable for operation on 32-bit microcontroller boards, such as the Arduino Zero or Raspberry Pi as well as classic 5V boards, such as the Uno.
  • Low dimensions and consumption: the sensor module is ideal for mobile applications. It measures approx. 48 mm x 14 mm x 8 mm including header and diodes and has a power consumption in operation at 5.0 V of only approx. 4mA
