Heevhas MCU1201 ADUM-1201 Magnetic Insulator Instead of Optocoupler Pack of 2

Heevhas MCU1201 ADUM-1201 Magnetic Insulator Instead of Optocoupler Pack of 2

Description: 1. The higher speed can reach 125Mbps. 2. Lower Power Consumption The power consumption is less than 1/10 of the conventional photoelectric insulator at the same data transfer rate and the minimum operating current is 0.8mA. 3. The performance has higher time accuracy, transient common mode suppression and channel adjustment than conventional photoelectric insulators. 4. Multi-channel digital isolators can provide forward and reverse communication channels within the same chip. 5. The two ends insulated by ADUM1201 have their own power supply and reference ground. The supply voltage is: 2.7V-5.5V. This allows a low voltage supply to be achieved, further reducing the power consumption of the system. 6. To filter out high-frequency interference, a capacitor with 0.01 μF to 0.1 μF must be connected between the power supply and the reference ground. The distance between the capacitor and the power supply should be within 20 mm to achieve a better filter effect. 7. It should be noted that GND1 and GND2 are two different reference masses, otherwise the insulation effect will not be achieved. 8. It should also be noted that during normal operation of ADUM1201, the power supplies at both ends must be switched on at the same time to ensure that both channels of ADUM1201 can work normally. If one of them is not turned on, the entire chip will not work properly. Plate size: 15.3 mm x 10.5 mm. Package includes: 2 x ADUM1201 two-channel digital magnetic insulator replaces optocoupler

Product Features

  • The maximum speed can reach 125 Mbps.
  • Magnetic insulators integrate transformer control and receive circuits, so their performance advantages are far greater than photoelectric insulators.
  • Because the transformer is manufactured directly on the chip in the wafer-level manufacturing process, its channels can be integrated between channels more efficiently than an optocoupler and implement other semiconductor functions more easily.
  • Its digital isolator requires no external circuits to control the LED and its power consumption is only 1/10 to 1/50 that of an optocoupler.
  • Since the two insulation channels are strongly matched, the crosstalk between the channels is very low and a reverse two-channel input and output design is used, which is very suitable for the bi-directional transceiver characteristics of the RS232 bus, and greatly simplifies the hardware connection between the insulator and the insulated ends.
