Description: The DRV8871 is a brush DC motor driver for printers, household appliances, industrial equipment and other small machines. Two logic inputs control the Hbridge driver, which consists of four N-channel MOSFETs that can control motors bi-directionally with a peak current of up to 3.6A. The inputs can be pulse width modulated (PWM) to control engine speed, using a choice of power drop modes. If you set both inputs to low, a power saving mode is activated. The DRV8871 features advanced current control circuit that does not use analog voltage reference or external measuring resistor. This novel solution uses a low-power standard low power resistor to set the current threshold. The ability to limit the current to a known level can significantly reduce the requirements for system performance and bulk capacity required to maintain a stable voltage, especially in engine start and shutdown conditions. The device is fully protected against errors and short circuits, including undervoltage (UVLO), over-current (OCP) and over-temperature (TSD). When the fault condition is resolved, the device automatically resumes normal operation. Features: The H-bridge motor drive module.
