Product Features
- They go round and round. 24 ultra-bright smart LEDs are arranged in a circle with an outer diameter of 85 mm. The rings are chainable - connect the output pin of one to the input pin of another.
- Use only one microcontroller pin to control as many as you can chain together! Each LED is addressable, the driver chip is inside the LED. Comes assembled and tested as a single ring with 24 individually addressable RGB LEDs.
- Each has an 18mA constant current drive, so the colour is very uniform even under voltage fluctuations and no external throttle resistors are required, making the design slim.
- There is a single data line with a very time-specific protocol. the protocol is very time sensitive, a real-time microcontroller such as AVR, PIC, mbed etc. is required.
- Our wonderfully written library supports these pixels! a hand-tuned assembly is required, this applies only to AVR cores. Others may have ported this chip driver code. A processor with 8 MHz or faster is required.
