The repair tools kit was designed for desoldering the joystick module off PCB with a normal soldering iron. The CNCed heating plate melts all the 14 solder joints simultaneously. Some helping tools included Important Notes 1. There're 3 different models for different joysticks. Please dismantle your controller and measure the joystick to choose the correct model 2. Your soldering iron should be more than 60W, choose a bigger iron tip and set the temperature high 3. Make sure the entire joystick unit should be replaced. In many cases, replacing the potentiometer alone can solve most joystick problems. Please go to the potentiometers at product ID: B09KVG19C1 4. • [Joystick Heating Plate] - Solder the entire thumbsticks module from the controller board with a normal soldering iron. With up to 14 prongs, removing the problem stick is the most difficult task. A CNC machined copper plate melts all solder joints simultaneously. This makes it possible to remove the entire joystick at once. There are 3 different models for sticks in different sizes: UniA, UniB and X360
• [Choose the right model] - UniA is for the normal joysticks of ALPS, FU and other third party suppliers used in most wired and wireless controllers: PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Elite and Series S|X, Switch Pro and most others. UniB is slightly larger than UniA and has been used in some PDP, Power-A, Hori and BDA controllers. X360 is much larger and has been used in Xbox 360 and some Logittech controllers. Please study the pictures and disassemble your controller. Measure the stick before you order
• [Some Auxiliary Tools Included] - Multi-thickness wires included that work better than typical soldering strands. Tin the wire, cut it to a sharp point and pierce the tip into the small hole to suck the solder into the small holes. Also included are the simple PCB terminals that help support the PCB on the workbench. Note: Do not place the clamps near a hot joystick, otherwise it will melt.
