The MEL Micro Effects Lights are small, easy-to-use single orange LED sources with a narrow spotlight beam pattern. When the lights are operated from a new 9V battery, the expected operating life is greater than 24 hours. The body of the micro effects lights is made of slightly textured black plastic and can be mounted with hot glue or gaffer tape. There are no switches on or with these lights to turn on and off; either the light body is unplugged from the battery clip assembly, or the 9V battery is removed. The micro effects lights will also operate on 12 volts DC; the DC barrel connector jack in the back of the light is wired for center positive polarity. The nominal operating current at 9V is 20ma and at 12V 28ma. These lights operate on DC voltage only. Batteries are not included. Applications include Portable battery-operated stage props, Theatrical costumes, Escape room props, pumpkin props, jack-o-lantern lighted props, and miniature props that need a flame orange appearance.
